We work hand in hand with landowners, such as ejidos, communities, public agencies, and private owners, who we aim to always be the main beneficiaries of their ecological capital. Therefore, we design fair and viable agreements for all parties, including the strengthening of local capacities.
The solution lies within rural forest communities. 70% of the forests in Mexico are in the hands of ejidos or indigenous communities.

WHAT IS CARBON OFFSETTING?
We measure the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) – one of the greenhouse gases that causes global warming and climate change - which is removed from the atmosphere thanks to the natural capture processes carried out by trees in the forest or jungle. Thanks to our sustainable forest management and restoration activities, we provide a verifiable, additional, and permanent protection network for forest cover and the biodiversity that inhabits it.
Each ton of carbon dioxide sequestered by biomass and certified by international organizations represents a carbon offset or credit. We trade these certificates with national and international companies that, either by obligation or voluntarily, offset their carbon footprint year after year. It is from this market that the financial resources come to enable these types of projects.

With our Sustainable Territorial Management Plans for projects, we design "tailored suits" that address risks and opportunities for each region. We address issues related to ecosystem services, biodiversity conservation, good governance, social justice, community development, gender equity, outreach, and scientific education.
